This climb is located on the east side of the valley and is 2-3 creek drainages south of Hillside Pillars. From Palmer, take the Glenn Highway north then turn west on the Palmer Fishhook Road. Follow the road through the rural setting and past the Hatcher Pass entrance sign. Drive a couple miles until this climb comes into view midway up the east side of the valley. If you pass the Hatcher Pass Ski Resort development, you've gone too far. Park your vehicle off the road then hike down the hill towards the Susitna River. Cross the river, then hike/climb the obvious drainage for approximately 45 minutes to the base of the main route. Moderate ice exists in the drainage so be prepared to climb/rappel.
