Spoke to a guy at the rock gym last night while bouldering and he had just returned from Valdez.

He went down for ice and the snow ended up being so good that he skied the entire time (heavens...!)
So the ski report is really positive now with very stable snow.
Bring gear for both?

CD and I put a snowshoe trail into Sheep Canyon today. The major routes are lean, but mostly clean and climbable. Beware of avi conditions!!

Snowfall ceased today, temps increased, but no rain to say in Valdez. We put in a snowshoe trail to Raincheck and Big Brother / Twisted Sister. Be VERY mindful of avi conditions if going into the backcountry.

Super windy on Thursday of last week in the Canyon. If going to Valdez, climb the side canyons, Dayville, sheep, bear, or Mineral Creek if it is windy in Keystone. Those side canyons are pretty calm comparatively. Adam and I climbed Hung Jury in 50MPH winds. I am a Valdez rookie.
