Once we got to the ice the rain turned to snow and the temp dropped. We both gave it a shot but being soaked with the wind blowing and snowing hard morale cracked and decided to head home. There was 3-4’ of snow on the car when we got back, wish it would have been snowing when we left.

Half way there

A closer look. We climbed (tried) the left side.
Wednesday morning I woke up to clear skies and no wind so I called a couple guys and talked them into going back up there. Great weather the whole way up. The snow was more like a block of ice (typical Kodiak) so avy danger was nil and made for easier traveling. Unfortunately as we were discussing the sun heating up the rock and if we should give it a go a bunch of ice let go and tumbled down the route. We basically took our ice gear out for a snowshoe trip. I did get a couple better pictures though.

A bit thinner after three days.

SOME DAY!!!

Another flow to the right of the other.
