Is it ethical to ask folks if they are doing a climb, with the gist that you plan on doing it and want it free?
And then not doing it?
Seems poor style at best and beer worthy in the least?

I would say it is in poor taste; however, we all have changed our minds about doing routes before or not been able to make it to a spot we talked about going to.

I would definitely by you a beer if I pulled this though!
