Echo Bend Ice Climbing - Three Ring Circus

Approach:  After leaving the Eagle River Nature Center, one will arrive at Echo Bend after about 45 minutes to an hour hike/ski.  Three Ring Circus is the longest climb in the area and is located just downstream of Spruce Pitch and Hollow Icicle on the south side of the river.   Bushwhack through trees then ascend moderate terrain to the bottom of the ice.

Route: Ascending snow/ice to the base of the the first pillar.  Climb moderate ice pitches seperated by pitches of snow.  Depending on conditions you may want to consider bring snow pickets. 

Anchor: Alders exist on the route, but v-thread material is recommended.
